Genetic Services for IVF

Screening, testing, and consulting to understand and manage your genetic risks

Genetic services have transformed reproductive medicine by helping doctors and embryologists create, test, and select embryos that will develop into viable pregnancies and healthy babies. Whether you are building or expanding your family today or in the future, you can benefit from these services as part of our in vitro fertilization (IVF) or cryopreservation programs.

We assess embryos with pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) for patients undergoing IVF and before transferring an embryo to your or your surrogate’s uterus. PGT identifies chromosomally viable embryos and embryos that do not carry an inherited disease. Our laboratory uses the same technology for gender selection, including detecting sex-based genetic conditions or the sex of the embryo for family balancing.

Individuals needing to suspend their fertility potential because of a medical diagnosis or other reasons can freeze and cryopreserve their eggs, blastocyst embryos, or sperm.

Mosaic Embryos: How Technology Is Shaping the Healthy Family

Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)

Pre-implantation Genetic Testing for Monogenic Disorders (PGT-M) tests embryos for specific genetic disorders before their transfer to the uterus.

Pre-implantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A)

PGT-A identifies chromosomally normal embryos not affected by aneuploidy, an abnormal chromosome arrangement. It also can analyze the embryo’s gender.

Pre-implantation Genetic Testing for Structural Chromosomal Rearrangements (PGT-SR)

PGT-SR analyzes irregular chromosome translocations that typically cause multiple miscarriages or pregnancies incapable with life.

Fertility Preservation

Cryopreservation preserves fertility for women, men, and couples. CACRM embryologists freeze eggs, sperm, and blastocyst embryos utilizing the latest and most effective methods to ensure the safety and viability of your stored genetic material.

Gender Selection

Patients may want to choose embryos based on gender for either medical or social reasons.
