Surrogacy: How Intended Parents Find a Perfect Match With CACRM

Breast Cancer & Fertility Preservation: Five Steps You Can Take Now to Have a Baby Later

At California Center for Reproductive Medicine (CACRM) you’ll never need to work with a third-party surrogacy agency. We offer a unique, in-house physician-led surrogacy program for Intended Parents to ensure you are matched with the healthiest surrogate possible.

What is a physician-directed surrogacy program?

Each of our surrogate candidates is thoroughly evaluated for her physical, mental and emotional health by our in-house physicians before they are ever presented to you. Along with an approved application, they will need a medical and psychological assessment to ensure they are in good health. Next our skilled medical team, led by board-certified physician Dr. Lori Arnold, will match appropriate surrogate mothers with Intended Parents.

However, the care and medical support does not stop there.

Next, Dr. Arnold (CACRM’s founder and medical director) and her team will guide both the surrogate and Intended Parents through their entire surrogacy journey—from genetics and embryo transfer to pre-implantation, delivery and birth certificate.

Our all-female staff fully understands the surrogate journey and will carefully guide you through each step of the process. Led by world-renowned fertility specialist Dr. Arnold, our team is ready to help you give the gift of a lifetime.

One of the most important decisions you’ll ever make

Knowing what to look for is an important first step in choosing your perfect surrogate match. While CACRM personally evaluates all candidates on your behalf, it’s also important to consider their lifestyle. Here are a few things that might help with your decision making process:

  • Medical History
It’s important to review your potential surrogate’s medical history, especially as it pertains to pregnancy, labor and delivery.
  • Lifestyle
Review her history of drinking, smoking, nutrition and lifestyle to select the candidate that most closely matches your ideal surrogate.
  • Relationship
Decide how involved you would like to be with the surrogate during pregnancy and delivery as well as if you would like to keep in contact with your surrogate after the birth of your baby.
